While lacking now, I will hopefully fill this up with a bunch of nice juicy links sooner or later...
- Since Kings Quest 8 was pretty much a joke, several fans got together to create a Kings Quest 9 very reminiscent of the original 7. Vivendi Universal (the company which now owns what used to be Sierra) has decided to place a cease and desist order on the project. Want to see the game made? Help out by sending Vivendi an e-mail. Information, including a suggested e-mail, can be found at this link: CLICK HERE!
- This is Fred Langa's site. He sends out a newsletter every-so-often (which I do subscribe to) and it contains many interesting articles. Most of them are pretty random and (I think) all of them are based off of questions from readers. He seems to cover many area's in computers, including Hardware/Software Windows/Linux and much more. I'd highly recommend to check it out: CLICK HERE!
- Here's the old site. I have finally copied over everything from the old geocities page onto charlies-server so this link (and all of the links included) should work fine... At least they did for me, so if you broke them I'll have to hunt you down... Do realize that the sounds haven't been imported yet, but I'll do that soon...er or later: CLICK HERE!
- I actually found this site a while ago, but I ended up misplacing the link. I came across it again recently and think that it is something to keep an eye on occasionally. Specifically, this site lets you select a state, a zip code and a radius around that zip-code and will display many different gas stations in that area and what their prices are. This allows you to see which ones are cheaper (as well as the more expensive ones, for those of you masochistic ones out there): CLICK HERE!
- This is the main Gentoo Linux homepage. If you have never used linux before and are interested in trying it out, then try something else :-p. Gentoo is not really for the feint of heart, so to speak, but if you'd like please feel free to contact me with any questions. I hope that I could at least direct you to where you can find an answer, if I can't answer you immediately, that is.: CLICK HERE!
- The Gentoo Linux forums. These are by far the best forums that I have ever come across. The community is both active and supportive. I would recommend using it to search for your Linux questions even if you do not use Gentoo.: CLICK HERE!
- Got a Windows program that you would like to run in Linux? Check out Wine. DEFINITELY check it out before using Cedega, as you have to pay for cedega, because many games that will work for one will work for the other AND the bugzilla for wine is much better (in my opinion) than the Transgaming Cedega community.: CLICK HERE!
- JR's comic site. I helped him a little bit with some scripting, but pretty much everything on it is his original work. Kudos man!: CLICK HERE!
- "Secret Maryo Chronicles is an Open Source two-dimensional platform game with a style designed similar to classic sidescroller games. It uses the platform independent library SDL and, since version 0.98, the OpenGL accelerated Graphics Renderer. The game is developed in C++." I'm using a modified engine from this game to work on my own. Don't give me the credit, though, it goes to these guys!: CLICK HERE!
- An MMORPG in development. The game looks nice (well, I really like it) and it has proven to be solid regarding both playability and programming. The main reason I don't play it more often is the leveling system. 3 or 4 hours into the game I'm still killing 'maggots' and 'scorpions' and STILL don't have enough money or resources (or other means) to get better equipment or (for that matter) any clothing other than a santa hat. But again, the game itself is very promising (even at version 0.0.24) A high recommendation for something to try. (And did I mention it's free?!): CLICK HERE!
